On Saturday, July 18, 2015, McAlister Institute joined the San Diego community to bring help and hope to thousands of individuals and families impacted by addiction at the 4th Annual 5K Walk for Sobriety.

The Walk for Sobriety has grown in success since its inception in 2012, raising more than $200,000 for substance abuse treatment and support services at McAlister Institute. It has also become a symbol for hope and a celebration of recovery – an opportunity to join hands to give a voice to the 40.3 million Americans braving the unforgiving cycle of addiction, to honor loved ones lost to drugs and alcohol, to break the stigma and build support, and to raise critical funds that ensure McAlister Institute’s 24 programs can continue to provide life-saving services to those who need them most.

Runners, walkers, and online supporters continue to help increase awareness and support the power of recovery by sharing the number of days they – or their loved ones – have clean and sober and what it means to them. Join the conversation by downloading this flyer and showing us what you’re celebrating with the hashtag #walkforsobriety!

Though the event has passed, McAlister Institute continues to rely on the generosity and support of donors like you. It is never too late to support McAlister Institute’s life-saving services with a tax-deductible donation at www.walkforsobriety.com or HERE.
